In 'Village Hall's Week', March 2026 the AVCH hosted a Wellbeing Event. We invited over seventy local charities + organisations and as many village halls as we could get addresses for. An exhibition + speakers were joined by The Shropshire Community Forum and ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England).
Following an introduction from Alison Limerick (ACVH Secretary), presentations from Richard Timney (Acre Worcester) and Duncan Spilsbury (The Shropshire Community Forum) discussed 'wellingbeing and retaining volunteers.
Following a taster menu of 'healthier foods', 4 charities shared their work. Marcus Matthews (The Shropshire Network), Diane Monether (Feed the Birds), Tom Hunt (Ludlow Rotary) and David Chamberlin (The Compassionate Friends)
As a result of the event the AVCE promised to create a
directory of local groups, charities + organisations. If you would like to add to the directory please email details to secretary@acvh.uk Details are correct of March 2026
Healthy snacks + drinks were provided to guests. Local food + drink suppliers were sourced. If you would like to share your healthier recipes, please email them to secretary@acvh.uk
